Korean Phrases for Dating: 25 Words and Lines That Help
Useful Korean phrases for dating — greetings, asking someone out, texting, compliments and saying goodnight — with Hangul, romanisation and when to use each one.
You don't need fluent Korean to date someone Korean — but a few well-placed phrases show real effort. Everything below uses polite speech (ending in -요), which is safe with someone you've just met.
First hello

A tip on tone
Save 좋아해요 (I like you) and 사랑해요 (I love you) for when you mean them — in Korean they carry real weight. And when your partner switches to casual speech (dropping the -요), that's a sign you've become closer.
